AARON DESROCHES

The winner of the 2008 M.Sc. thesis award is Aaron DesRoches. His thesis, entitled Integrated Ichnology, Sedimentology and Stratigraphy of the Lower Falher Member, Spirit River Formation, Northeastern British Columbia and Central Alberta was supervised by Dr. James MacEachern at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia. After completing his M.Sc. thesis, DesRoches worked as a Technical Specialist in the Geoscience Division for the Nuclear Waste Management Organization in Toronto, and is currently working on his Ph.D thesis in geophysics at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton.

DesRoches’ thesis encompasses the integration of ichnological, sedimentological and stratigraphic analysis by utilizing cored intervals and geophysical well logs that penetrate the lower cycles of the Falher Member. The objective of the . . . [Full Text of this Article]
