HENRY A.K. CHARLESWORTH 1931 – 2006

Dr. Henry Charlesworth, a professor of Structural Geology at the University of Alberta from 1956 to 1993, passed away on June 7th, 2006. He was born on January 29th, 1931 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Glasgow in 1956.

Henry was a pioneer in computer applications in structural geology. His work in the development of quantitative computer-based data analysis has resulted in widespread application in both research and industry.
